Affiliate disclosure
Fitvio may earn a commission from some software providers if you follow a qualifying link. Commission never influences which tools are recommended or the order they appear in.
Today: no affiliate links
Fitvio does not currently use affiliate links, and earns nothing when you follow a link to a software vendor. Every “Website” and “Visit site” link goes straight to the vendor’s official site.
In the future
Many software vendors run affiliate programs that pay a commission when someone signs up after following a link. Fitvio may join some of these programs to fund its research. If and when that happens:
- affiliate links will be labelled where they appear, and marked as sponsored links for search engines;
- whether a vendor has an affiliate program, and how much it pays, will never influence which tools are shown, how they are grouped, or the order they appear in;
- tools without an affiliate program will be shown exactly as prominently as those with one;
- this page will be updated before the first affiliate link goes live.
How this is enforced
Recommendations use only your requirements and the product data described in the methodology. Affiliate information is kept in a separate part of the system that the recommendation code cannot read, and automated checks fail if that separation is ever broken. Choosing where a vendor link points happens in one place, after the results are already decided.
Researching programs is not the same as earning from them
We keep internal notes on which vendors run affiliate or referral programs. That research is never shown in results and does not mean we have joined any program.
