Privacy policy

Fitvio works without an account and collects as little as possible.

Who is responsible for your data

Fitvio is operated by FOP Yarovyi, a sole proprietor (FOP) registered in Ukraine. Postal address: Poltava, 36004, Ukraine. Email: hello@fitvio.co.

What we do not collect

  • No account, sign-up or login.
  • No cookies unless you accept analytics (below). The only other thing stored in your browser is that choice.
  • No advertising scripts. Analytics loads only with your consent.

What happens when you use the finder

Your answers are kept in the page address (the URL), not in an account or in your browser. That includes the tool you use now, your requirements and budget, and, if you describe your needs in your own words, that text too. Keeping them in the address lets you bookmark or share a result, and it lets product, category and comparison pages show your fit as you move around the site.

  • While you type a description, it is matched to requirements in your browser. Nothing is sent until you submit.
  • The address is sent to our server each time a page with your answers loads, to work out the results. Your answers are not saved in our database and are not linked to you.
  • Anyone you share the link with sees the same answers, including any text you typed. Please do not put personal details, such as names or email addresses, into the description.
  • Finder and comparison pages are excluded from search engines.
  • When you follow a link to a vendor, your browser does not pass on the Fitvio page address, so the vendor does not see your answers.

Hosting and server logs

The site runs on Vercel (application servers in Frankfurt, Germany; pages are delivered through Vercel’s global network). Product data is stored in a database at Supabase, also in Frankfurt. That database holds information about software products and the anonymous daily totals of vendor-link clicks described below, not information about individual visitors.

Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical request data to deliver the site and keep it secure: IP address, browser type, time and the full page address requested. Because finder answers are part of the page address, they can appear in these request logs. The logs are kept only for the limited period set by the hosting provider, then deleted. We do not copy them elsewhere or use them to build profiles of visitors.

Analytics

With your consent only, we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google, to count visits and see which pages and features are used.

  • Nothing loads from Google until you click “Accept analytics”. If you decline, nothing is loaded.
  • What is sent:
    • the page address without its query string, so never your finder answers or anything you type;
    • the page title;
    • the referring website’s address without its path;
    • simple events such as “finder used”, number of results, product shown, comparison opened or vendor link clicked;
    • the technical information any browser sends with a request, such as device type, from which Google may derive an approximate location.
  • Cookies: _ga and _ga_… on fitvio.co, used to recognise repeat visits. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off.
  • Your choice is stored in your browser, so we do not ask on every page. Change it at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page; withdrawing consent deletes the analytics cookies.
  • Google may process this data outside the European Union. Analytics data is kept for 2 months.

Contacting us

Messages sent to addresses at fitvio.co are received by Cloudflare’s Email Routing service and forwarded to the operator’s mailbox. If you write to us, we use your message and address only to reply and to correct our data, and we keep them only as long as needed for that.

Links to vendors’ websites go through a short redirect on our site (addresses starting with fitvio.co/go/). It sends you on to the vendor without telling the vendor which Fitvio page you came from.

For these links we keep daily totals: how many times links to each software product were followed, from which position on the page (for example a product page or the finder results), and whether the link was an affiliate link. This counting stores no IP address, cookie, browser details or other identifier, and none of your finder answers, so it cannot tell who clicked. Clicks that look automated, such as search engine crawlers, are left out where we can detect them, so the totals are estimates.

The redirect is otherwise an ordinary request to our site: our hosting provider processes it as described under “Hosting and server logs”, and if you accepted analytics, Google Analytics records the click as described above.

Once you arrive on a vendor’s website, that site’s own privacy policy applies. If the link is an affiliate link, the vendor or its affiliate network may set its own cookies there. See the affiliate disclosure for how vendor links work.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we hold almost none, the main case is a message you sent us: ask via the contact page and we will act on it.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live or, in Ukraine, to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.
