Review guidelines and moderation
Reviews on Fitvio are written by people who use the software. We check every review before it appears, and we never remove a review for being negative.
Last updated 29 October 2026
Who can review
- Anyone who has used the product themselves, including during a free trial.
- Not people employed or paid by the product’s vendor or a competitor, or reviewing in exchange for anything (money, discounts, gifts). Reviewers confirm this when they submit.
- One review per product and email address. You can edit or delete it at any time.
How we check reviews
- Email confirmation. Every review is confirmed through a link sent to the reviewer’s email address. Reviews shown on Fitvio carry a “Verified email” mark. We do not keep the email address itself, only a one-way code to stop duplicates.
- A person reads every review before it is published, against the guidelines on this page. Automatic checks point out links, contact details, an email address at the vendor’s own domain, copied text and sudden bursts of reviews, but a person always decides.
- What we cannot check: we do not ask for proof of purchase or use, so we cannot guarantee that every reviewer used the product. Reviewers declare that they did, and reviews that show otherwise are not published.
The only reasons a review is not published
- Spam or advertising
- Not about this product
- Abusive, hateful or threatening language
- Personal data about someone (names, contact details)
- Written by someone connected to the vendor or a competitor
- Not based on first-hand use of the product
- A copy of another review
A review is never rejected or removed because of its rating, because it criticises a product, or because of any commercial relationship we have or may have with a vendor (see the affiliate disclosure). We do not edit reviews: a review is published as written or not at all, and its author sees the reason on their private review page.
Writing a helpful review
- Describe your own experience: what you use it for, what works, what does not.
- At least 100 characters. Pros and cons are optional.
- No links, no contact details, and no personal data about anyone (including colleagues or support staff).
How reviews are shown
- Newest first. Reviews are never sorted or filtered by rating.
- The average rating appears once a product has at least 3 published reviews.
- Reviews do not change Fitvio’s recommendations or fit scores, which are based on documented pricing and features.
- Reviews are separate from “What users say”, which summarises public discussions elsewhere with the help of AI.
Reporting a review
Every published review has a “Report” link. A moderator checks each report against these guidelines and either keeps the review or removes it for one of the reasons above.
Your rights as a reviewer
You can edit or delete your review at any time with the link in your confirmation email. Edited reviews are checked again before they reappear. Deleting removes the review and everything stored about it. See the privacy policy for what is stored and for how long.
