Cursor Pricing: Plans and Costs Explained
Cursor pricing runs from a Free plan to $200 per month, with a per-user Teams plan and custom Enterprise quotes. See what each plan costs and who it suits.
On this page 8
Cursor pricing starts at nothing (there's a Free plan) and climbs to $200 per month on the Ultra plan, with a per-user Teams plan at $30 per user per month and custom quotes for Enterprise. If you're an individual developer, the realistic decision sits between Free, Plus at $8 per month and Premium at $30 per month.
The tiers above Premium exist for heavier use, but Cursor's pricing page doesn't spell out here what you get at each step. That matters, so we cover it below.
A quick note on sourcing: every figure here comes from Cursor's official pages, checked on 27 October 2026, and we name the gaps where they affect your choice. Prices are in US dollars.
At a glance
- Cursor Free costs nothing, but Cursor's pricing page lists no price or trial length details for it.
- Cursor Plus is $8 per month, billed monthly, the cheapest paid individual plan.
- Cursor Premium is $30 per month, billed monthly, and Super and Ultra sit above it at $100 and $200 per month.
- Cursor Teams is $30 per user per month, billed monthly, while Enterprise is quote-only.
- The pages we checked don't show which features belong to which plan, so compare plan limits on Cursor's pricing page before you pay.
How much does Cursor cost?

The jumps are uneven. Plus to Premium is a step from $8 to $30. Premium to Super more than triples the bill, and Ultra doubles Super. Cursor's pricing page doesn't explain in the material we reviewed what the extra money buys at each step, so don't assume a higher tier is simply "more of everything" without checking the limits yourself.
What do you get with Cursor Free, Plus and Premium?
All three plans give you access to the Cursor editor, and the product is described as an AI code editor with code completion, chat and coding agents. What we can't tell you is which plan unlocks which feature, because Cursor's pages list features without tying them to a tier.
Here is what Cursor's official pages list for the product overall:
- Code completion
- A coding agent, including starting agents from GitHub, Slack, Linear and JetBrains IDEs
- AI code review (a
/code-reviewcommand that analyzes code for issues and improvements) - File uploads
- IDE integration
- Image generation (Imagine) and video generation
- A native iOS app, in public beta
- A Zapier integration that connects 9,000+ apps
- Priority support

Treat that list as what the product offers, not what Plus includes. Priority support in particular sounds like something reserved for higher tiers, but the pages we reviewed don't say so either way.
How does Cursor billing work?
Every paid Cursor plan we found is priced as billed monthly. The pricing page lists no annual option for Plus, Premium, Super, Ultra or Teams, so there is no yearly discount to factor in.
In practice, that is good news if you want to test a plan. A monthly price means you can pay for one month of Plus or Premium and judge it against your real workload. Cursor's pages also don't list a free-trial length for any plan, so the Free plan is your trial.
Teams works differently from the individual plans. At $30 per user per month, the bill grows with each person you add. Say you run a four-person startup: every developer you bring on adds another seat at that rate. We won't total it for you, because the real cost depends on who actually needs a seat.
Which Cursor plan should you choose?
Pick the cheapest plan that stops you hitting a wall. Start on Free, move to Plus if you want a low-cost paid step, and only go higher once you know you need it.
If you're trying Cursor for the first time
Say you're a developer curious about AI-assisted editing. Start with Cursor Free. It carries no listed price, so you can learn how the editor, chat and agents fit your habits before spending anything.
If you code with AI every day
If Cursor is already in your daily workflow, Plus at $8 per month is the low-risk upgrade. Premium at $30 per month is the next step when Plus feels limiting. Because billing is monthly, trying Premium for a month costs you one month, not a year.
If you're pushing it hard
Super at $100 per month and Ultra at $200 per month are aimed, by their price alone, at people who lean on Cursor heavily. We can't tell you their exact allowances from the pages we reviewed. Check Cursor's pricing page for the limits before committing, and move up only if a lower plan has actually run out on you.
If you manage a team
Cursor Teams at $30 per user per month is the plan built for several people, and Enterprise is the route for larger organisations that need a custom quote. Cursor Teams costs the same per month as Premium for an individual, so the price alone won't tell you what's different. Look at the plan details on Cursor's pricing page for admin and billing features.
What isn't stated about Cursor pricing?
A few things aren't on the pages we reviewed, and they change how confident you can be in a plan choice:
- Plan-by-plan features. Features are listed for Cursor as a whole, not per plan.
- Usage limits. The pages we checked don't give request or usage allowances for any tier.
- Free plan details. No price or limits are listed for Free.
- Annual billing and trials. None are listed for any plan.
- Enterprise pricing. It is custom quote only.
None of this means those things don't exist. It means you should confirm them on Cursor's own pricing page before paying. For a wider view, see our AI Coding Assistants category, or the full Cursor pricing and features page.
What do users say about Cursor?
